Woodwindist

Danielle Sopchak, is a flutist known for her vibrant playing and warm, bold tone. Her original compositions feature improvisation, extended techniques, and electronics. ​​
Danielle is a woodwind doubler. She plays flutes, saxophones and clarinet in jazz quartets, big bands, musicals, and recording projects. While her jazz sets feature classic Swing and Bossa standards, she focuses on performing compositions by women composers.

Mixed State fuses sounds to create new arrangements of jazz standards and classical compositions. The album features original compositions creating a genre-less story of life's conflicting truths in any moment with only one consistent theme — inconsistency.

More Information on Danielle

Danielle holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College (NY), studying with saxophonists Antonio Hart and Tim Armacost. Danielle also holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Music from The University of Tampa studying with multi-instrumentalist Bob Macar (FL)​.​
